Hello!Today we left our hotel in Roma, Mexico City after a lovely breakfast buffet. We went to the National Museum of Anthropology and were treated to a very interesting tour lead by Arnoldo, our cultural and logistics guide who is based in Mexico City. We saw ruins, carvings, and sculptures made by Pre-Columbian peoples of Mexico and listened to some captivating stories from Arnoldo.
From there we went east to the town of Tlaxcala, where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch of traditional Mexican food and went for a walking tour of the city center, including a church that was built in 1520. Afterwards we continued on to the flanks of La Malinche at 10,000’ where we are now nestled into cabanas that are our base for the next two days.
Thanks for reading!
